The most important part of any central heating and cooling system is the ductwork. No matter how efficient your unit is, it is only as efficient as the ductwork. A 16 SEER unit on a poorly designed and installed duct system can net you as little as 8 SEER. Not only system efficiency but indoor comfort is also affected by the duct system. You must have the proper amount of air in each room for your whole house to be comfortable.
At Gary's, we can custom design a duct system for each home. There is no "one size fits all". Our duct systems are manufactured in our state of the art sheet metal facility using commercial grade specifications. This means the insulation values and metal gauges are higher than minimum building code requirements. We use galvanized metal on all main supply trunk lines and commercial flexible duct for all branch lines. We install volume dampers to tailor the airflow for each room.
